Running an amazing Instagram Influencer campaign Part 2.

Part 2 influencer campaignSo you’ve got your list of influencers that want to work with you, now what? You need to create a landing page for your campaign. Your landing page should be simple, and include an opt-in form, this is the best way to get the contact information off those coming to your website from your influencer campaign. A way to incentivise people to do this is to provide a free offer.

The content of your free offer is up to you, it could be a free guide, ebook or report for example in return for your visitors email address. Make sure what you are offering is valuable to your visitors, as this will make it more likely that people will both remember and appreciate your business.

Your landing page needs to be engaging to the Instagram users you are targeting, in order to attract new leads. It is also key that this landing page is optimized for mobile, as almost all of the leads produced will be from a mobile device.

Now you’ve found your influencers, and generated your landing page, you need to deliver you promotional materials for the campaign. The materials you’ll need to send to your influencers is as follows:

  • A caption will a call to action. This will convince your influencers followers to take a look at your link, that your influencer would have put in their bio.
  • A picture of your product, or a quote.
  • The link to your landing page. Make sure your link had a link tracker so you can monitor clicks and ROI of each influencer campaign.

Now you’ve provided this, the influencer will publish the post, and your campaign is underway.

This works in a snowball effect, it will slowly start to increase your followers, when your following starts to increase the more likely people are to follow you through using the paid mentions.

influencer on instagramIn one of our recent blogs we told you that a great thing for your company to do on Instagram is use influencers. In out next few blogs we are going to take this one step further and tell you how to run a successful influencer campaign on Instagram, today’s blog focuses on finding and targeting your potential influencers.

The first step to get your influencer campaign underway is to target the right influencers. Before you start contacting anyone and everyone with a decent following, take your time to look and research before your start messaging. Look for people who are relevant to your business and are popular with your followers and target audience. My using the explore tab you can search keywords such as ‘fashion’ and look further into profiles more relevant to you and your business.

Make a list of a select few accounts you want to target, for example 10 people. Focusing on those with 10,000 or more followers, but don’t forget to also look at engagement on their posts, after all the people liking and commenting on their posts will be the people who are likely to follow your page, so people with low engagement will be no use to your campaign.sam faires influencer

Once your list is compete, you now need to reach out to your influencers, asking if they would consider adding a link to your lading page to their profile bio. Most Instagram pages that are open to advertising make it easy for you to contact them, putting an email address or another way to contact them in their bio.

In your message to your target influencers you want to explain that you are looking to promote both your Instagram account and business, and wish to know if they are open to advertising opportunities. Is so you’d like to send them a quite. Quote are usually based on the number of followers the account has, the industry it in and what engagement their posts get. Don’t be afraid to try and negotiate prices, or to go for smaller accounts for the first couple of influencer campaigns you run, and if it provides a nice return, look into bigger account in the future, with bigger accounts it is likely you will also be contacting an agency or manager instead of the account holder directly.

How to use Instagram to drive traffic to your website.

Instagram is slowly becoming a go to social media platform for a lot of business, especially since they announced they will be releasing an adds service in the near future, but for now how do your drive traffic to your website using Instagram? Here’s a few tips and tricks to do so.

Put a Website link in your Bio.

Though it may seem simple, many people do not put a link to their website in their bio. It’s easily done, simply by going to edit profile and putting your website into the website text box. You could use this just to send customers to your home page, or if you are pushing a particular promotion you could take advantage of this by sending your customers directly to that.

Using the Have2Have.it tool, you can use your bio link to direct customers to a page which has the same look and feel of your Instagram, however customers can click images to buy your products and read your content.

Use Call to Actions.

Using call to actions both in your images and captions are more likely to get potential customers onto your website, especially when you have a competition running of a similar nature. You image could promote the promotion for example ‘enter our competition now’ and you would use the caption to get people clicking the link you have put into your bio.

Include a URL in your videos.

Video’s on Instagram generate three times more inbound links than image posts, so it’s worth considering using more 15 second video’s on your Instagram feed. When you do start posting video’s it will be beneficial to use a text overlay to insert you company URL. Your potential customers will view your videos, want to learn more, and with your URL visible in the video, they will know exactly where to go to do so.

Whatever your industry, it is usually fairy simple to find people within it, on Instagram, that potential customers, follow, trust and listen to. Working with these influencers gives your company mass publicity, with people that you want to target, and if your influencers are using clear calls to actions driving people to your website, it usually generates mass results, and fast. All it takes is to send them a message, there are many people out there that will target an audience similar to the audience you want your profile to have, contact as many as possible, many will say no, some way want a fee, and others will gladly work with you for free, it’s up to you who you want to work with and for what price
